Visions of Mr. Mom

Because of our ministry schedules, Melissa and I have been able to share a day off for the last few years (once we finished up seminary).  We’re able to take Fridays off together since Sunday is a work day for us.  Today is one of those days and it has been nice.  We’ve each done some stuff on our laptops this morning (some work, some web surfing, etc) and this afternoon we’re going to a movie and grabbing dinner together.

However, when the baby comes our schedule is going to change somewhat and I’m going to start watching the little man one day a week.  I’m not exactly sure what that will look like but I’ve had visions of Michael Keaton in the 1983 classic, Mr. Mom.


It is a little exciting…and a little scary.  When he’s young though, I sometimes wonder what I’ll be able to do with him, outside of feeding, changing diapers and just staring at him.  But I just ran across this hilarious workout video and I now have a new goal.  I’m going to take advantage of our time together to develop my muscle tone.  I can feel a six pack coming!
