Merry Christmas!

Can’t talk too much because it is late and I’m jumping on to some unsecure network around my mother-in-law’s house.  Just wanted to say Merry Christmas to everyone.  Christmas Eve was a pretty long day but it went great.  I had one of the busiest day’s at church that I’ve had in a while, leading Powerhouse (our K-5th grade service) during 2 of our 3 services while also leading a fun little active telling of the Christmas story in all three adult services.  It was funny hearing adults making animal noises and doing actions along with the story.

Then we jumped right into some of our Christmas Eve traditions.  We watched/listened to A Christmas Story on the way over to Urbana and when we got to my parents house we began our 2nd Annual Christmas Eve Murder Mystery Night.  I played a Russian rocket scientist named Ivan who just moved to Kansas City.  What better way to celebrate than dressing up in a lab coat and yelling “Nyet, Nyet!” at your family members.

Heading to bead now but it is after midnight so I guess it is fair to say, Merry Christmas!  Tomorrow should be a fun day of opening gifts with Melissa’s family, having lunch with both of our families and then playing some fun games and going to a movie.  I think we’re planning to see Yes Man so we’ll see how that goes.  Seems like there are too many interesting movies to choose from so if it is lousy we’ll just have to try another one next week.

Anyway, Merry Christmas everyone!
