“Udderly Ridiculous.” That is my favorite line from a Yahoo! Odd News story I just found. Apparently the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, PETA, has proposed their most ridiculous idea yet. They made a formal request for Ben & Jerry, of ice cream fame, to begin making their ice cream from human breast milkinstead of from cow milk. In her letter to Ben & Jerry’s, Tracy Reiman wrote, “If Ben and Jerry’s replaced the cow’s milk in its ice cream with breast milk, your customers — and cows — would reap the benefits.” She might want to elaborate on what those benefits are. The only one result I can see is uncontrollable vomiting but then that really isn’t a benefit.
The unanimous response: umm… yuck!
I think this idea is pretty much dead so I hate to ask but I can’t help but wonder…how exactly did they plan on getting that much breast milk?
