I just heard that the Sax player from the Dave Matthews Band, LeRoi Moore (far left in the photo), died yesterday. My friends and I were pretty big fans of the band in High School. I haven’t listened to them so much lately but back in the day we loved the DMB. I was actually in their official fan club and at one point we went to three concerts in a four day stretch, all in different cities. The band lets you record their live shows so we even got into trading cassette tapes (yes, I said tapes) of their live shows. They’ve been playing together since the early 90’s and I managed to get a tape of them playing someone’s High School prom. After several mult-platinum records it is hard to imagine them ever playing a prom.
Anyway, it is a sad day for the DMB.
