Swiss Army Knife

One of the blogs I check out occasionally is a gadget/technology blog called Gizmodo.  A few days ago I ran across one of the best gadgets I’ve seen in a while.  I’m looking forward to the Get Smart movie coming out this week and it looks like one of Maxwell Smart’s spy tools in the movie is the coolest swiss army knife ever.  It contains a blow gun, a cross blow and a flame thrower.  That wouldn’t seem like much since normally it would just be some fake movie prop but apparentely they actually made a real knife to use in the movie.  It looks like it would make Q, of James Bond fame, proud.

My strongest memory of a swiss army knife takes me back to when I was in about 3rd grade and I was playing with my dad’s swiss army knife at camp.  I was sitting around bored while he was teaching a class so I tried to whittle something.  The problem was that I got a little careless and whittled a little something off of my finger.  It resulted in the only five stitches of my life.  I can only imagine what might have happened if I would have had Mr. Smart’s knife.

As I pondered the glory of that ultra deadly swiss army knife, I wondered what other fabulous multi tool man accessories might be out there and I ran across this giant swiss army knife.  It has 85 tools built into this one knife.  I’m thinking it should probably come with it’s own backpack since it is definitely not fitting into any pocket I’ve ever seen (though there would be plenty of rooms since you’ll have to take $1,400 out of your pocket to get one).
