A Unique Homerun

Every year or two you hear a really cool sports story.  We’ve had Jason McElwain the autistic basketball player, David Martin the football player with out legs, and now this.  In a recent college softball game a young woman hit her first ever home run to win the game.  As she rounded first base she realized that she hadn’t touched first base.  When she turned back her knee gave out and she tore her ACL.  But if she didn’t touch all of the bases she would be called out.  If anyone from her team came out and touched her she’d be called out.  She was out of options…until the other team stepped in and literally carried her around the bases.  The may have lost the game but I’m sure they’ve got a pretty incredible memory.
